Whoever decided that a summer vacation
should only be eleven weeks long

was an idiot.

He or she obviously does not realize
that I'm trying to hang on
to every stupid little moment of my "childhood".
School starting means I'm a senior.
Senior year means I have to plan
for the rest of my ... life.
January means I'll be an adult.
Being an adult means I'm not a kid
and therefore not entitled to moments of
carelessness,
recklessness,
or seriously enjoying
my Belle princess lunchbox.
WTF to the person who decided this.

So...I have one day left of summer vacation
and then I guess I'm moving forward.
Slowly. And as slowly as possible.
